One simple way to easily detect the quality of any given lock will be: THE WEIGHT
This is the number one rule for any locks. Good locks doesn’t cut corners on material. They use thick metals. Economic locks, however, tend to cut corners and use thinner metals, more cheaper material like ABS plastic, etc.
In the digital lock world, the heaviest is in fact the best built quality. How do we know that? Because we serviced and repaired and changed so many “lightweight” digital lock in Kuching. They simply not built to last.
What’s the heaviest brand? Baldwin (USA). Second? Kaadas (Germany) Third? Gateman (Korea)
Those brand that are famous and you have always heard of (Yale or Samsung)? Those are like Honda or Toyota. Famous, quite good, but not the best.
The best, are those seldom heard brand, like Rolls Royce. Like Baldwin. Like Kaadas.
