There is one case that happen to one of our customer to their digital lock. They are using a Panasonic battery that cause the leakage of battery acid and damaged the motherboard of this digital lock, thus void your product warranty.
In order to avoid damaging your digital lock, what is the right battery that you can use?
Well for us, we always recommend to our customer to use ENERGIZER battery as this battery is not doing any damage to digital lock motherboard.
And also need to change the battery once a year or before the lock is almost depleted. Don’t worry every digital lock will give a warning or reminder for you to change the battery either in songs or human voice.
Problematic lock especially round knob is commonly happen at our house as this lock could make us lock ourselves in bedroom or outside our house.
Sometimes this type of lock is very easy to have problem as the malfunctioning latch assembly or lock mechanism is the one that cause the problem and can make the lock jammed.
So in order to prevent this kind of problem to happen again in the future, you need to change your lock to a new lock when you feel your lock is not working properly like usual.

Firstly, Digital lock have the following functions Fingerprint, Pincode, Access card/RF card, Phone app and mechanical key for you to use. So with just using the following functions you can enter your house with ease.
Secondly, to use digital lock you need to set your own password and fingerprint in your digital lock user record. How? you can set using Phone app or Enter your master code to enter setting mode. For Philips the initial passcode is #12345678# and as for Fine-Tec you can download the app at Google Playstore or Apple Store, just type Sceiner and will pop up.

Battery leakage is a constant problem for every digital door lock. But what is the cause of this battery to leak?
The first reason is you are using the WRONG type of batteries that is not suitable with the digital lock. Thus can result the battery acid to leak and damaged the motherboard of digital lock which make the lock to malfunction.
So you need to use Alkaline type battery (AA) and change the battery once a year even if the battery is not yet flat.
The second reason is you need to carefully follow the battery instruction path. Because if you accidently put one the battery in the wrong direction, the battery will become hot which cause the battery acid to leak and damaged the motherboard.
So, please be careful when you want to replace your battery, make sure to put the battery in a correct direction and se Alkaline battery type (AA).

You have been using a gold color door knob or handle or deadbolt for long time and notice that the color gradually grow faint and disappear.
So this is one of the problem of any door handle when you choose to use gold color for your door knob or handle or deadbolt.
what cause it to faded?
Well this because of you have been using it for long time, cause we only change or knob when it is unusable right. And also when you try to open your door you accidently scratch it it with your key.
Another reason is when you clean your door knob to hard the color can come off also and it will change color from gold to silver just like the picture above.
So for me, I more prefer to use copper color because the color wont easily come off even when I use it for a long time already. Also you wont notice if the copper color knob got scratches only if you look at the knob very carefully.
